Boris Blagoev

Boris

A native of Bulgaria, Boris began the study of violin at an early age.  After attending the most prestigious conservatories in Bulgaria, he moved to the United States to continue his studies with Professor Kevork Mardirossian, currently Professor of Violin at Indiana University.  Mr. Blagoev holds Master’s and Doctorate degrees from Louisiana State University.

Boris has extensive international experience as an orchestral, solo and chamber musician.  His experience has led him to collaboration with such renowned and varied performers as Itzhak Perlman, Yo- Yo Ma, Renee Fleming, and Chris Botti.  He also regularly performs at national and international music festivals.

George Bond

While living in Raleigh, North Carolina for a brief period of time after high school, he discovered a love for Jazz, Country and Jazz/Rock fusion guitar styles.  He moved back to Texas and began his studies at Richland Community College in Dallas with guitarist Joseph Lee, pianist Bert Ligon, bassist John Adams, and music theory professor Jerry Wallace.  He earned the Texas Music Educators Association All State Jazz Guitarist Award in 1992.

George continued his studies at the University of North Texas in 1994, and studied under guitar professors Fred Hamilton and Tom Johnson.  He graduated in 1999 with a BM in Jazz guitar and a minor in music theory.

Since college, George has had over twelve years of combined professional work in the Dallas area with original music groups, Top 40/Variety shows and Dallas/Fort Worth area churches.  He is currently playing with “Highwaymen Live”, a tribute show to Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash, and is on the orchestra staff at First Baptist Church in downtown Dallas.

Earnie Jackson

The founder of the Alliance Music Academy, a jazz enthusiast and professional bass player for over 15 years. Earnie has played with greats such as Jon Faddis, Kevin Mahogony, Clark Terry, Manhattan Voices, and Count Basie Band. In addition to inspiring students and professional electric and upright bass players at the academy Earnie and his wife Paige lead SaPaJa, a jazz ensemble that performs throughout the DFW metroplex.

 

Paige Jackson

Teaching private lessons in the areas of voice, flute, and piano, Paige is also the Head Choir Director at a local area high school. With her BA in music performance (flute and voice) from Kansas State University, and her MM in Music Theory from the University of North Texas, Paige has been accredited as instructor,educator and performer. She is currently the vocalist with SaPaJa, the jazz ensemble.

Andy Pruyn

AndyAndy Pruyn is a Dallas area studio musician, live drummer, and freelance percussionist who has been drumming since 1987. He has performed with Lee Greenwood, Steve Hindalong, Galen Jeter Jazz Orchestra, Toledo Glassmen D&BC, Crosswinds Jazz Orchestra, Seven Day Walk, Ken Savage & the Best Kept Secret, Mosaic Minds, the Magnets, and several churches in North Texas. Andy currently plays drums for Bent Tree Bible Fellowship and the Dallas Praise Jazz Orchestra.

While attending Northern Kentucky University, Andy studied percussion with Dick Jensen of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. In 2002, Mr. Pruyn performed in the Kentucky All-Collegiate Jazz Ensemble at the Kentucky Music Educators Association Annual Conference. Andy graduated from NKU with a Bachelor’s in Music Education.

Since 1998, Mr. Pruyn has taught drums and percussion in Ohio, Kentucky, Texas, Wisconsin, Brazil, & Russia. His affiliations include the Percussive Arts Society, Vic Firth Education Team, and Texas Music Educators Association.

Carl Wagner

CarlA native of Fort Worth, Carl Wagner is a professional pianist, saxophonist, songwriter, and producer. He holds a bachelor of music in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas. Carl has shared the stage with Wes Anderson, Kirk Whalum, Christian McBride, Frank Foster, and Norah Jones to name a few. When not performing, he spends his time composing and producing vocal and instrumental music. He has 11 years experience of teaching band in the Dallas Public schools. An exceptional musician who demonstrates musical artistry, he can be seen performing around the DFW metroplex.
